Why are we here???

Well, if you went to the A&P show last friday night, you missed out on the fun at dropzone. The theme of the night was "Why did God make us?"

The boys also tried to win for the tallest newspaper person by extending Michell's newspaper suit......

Of course you guys loved the last game most: chocolate bar chop-up... each team got 6 cups with different chocolate bars in it.. that have gone through a blender... and have to guess which chocolate bars are in which cups... Yummy!
DJ said that he could not taste it properly, so he needed to taste again, Yeah right...

There was a really good discussion on "why do we exist?"
You got the answer in the wrap up at the end... Men's chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. This means the we are made to honour God. Everything that is not to Gods honour, is SIN. Sin is the same as a crime to God. We concluded that we are all sinners, because we fail to fulfill our purpose in life.
We also thought about how we CAN fulfill the purpose of our life. Just as with toasters, they might all be different, they have the same purpose: to make toast. However, a toaster cannot make toast without bread and power.
The same counts in our life. We need the bible (the bread of life), which tells us how to live to Gods honour. We also need power and strength from God to keep sharp on living to Gods honour.

Coming friday night we talk about where sin actually comes from... in ...

..."The Fall"...

Creation

Well hope you all had a great day off school yesterday ... thanks be to Labour day :) Well it's time to think back to Friday night about what happened at DropZone.

The topic was CREATION and one thing is for sure you guys created LOTS of noise!!!! do you save all your talking for friday night???? :) but you proved to be very bad at reading the instructions and creating an animal out of the play dough ( or was it just Steph's sticky play dough that was no good.... ?? sorry guys i'll try better next time !) But then when it came to creating the bridge with paper, sticks, tapes and pins you did really well ... lots of neat designs and one of the group's bridge was able to hold 10 choco bars! Great team work every one.

And what a laugh the helicopters game was , if only you could see your selves!!! check out the pictures...... human helicopters ( a shocking with a ball at the end) well the aim of the game was to get some one else's helicopter off but you just all had to much fun buzzing around like helicoptors meanwhile your leaders had a good laugh!!!! :)

all in all we had a fun night together , after the games and fun we sat down to watch a movie and most of us remembered how annoying it is when some one else talks at the movies so we all just stand and watched. thanks freinds. but what was the movie about ? it explain about Creation and showed us what God created on each day of the 7 days of Creation. So what did he created on the 3rd day ?? or what about the 6th?? can you remember? well i'll help you ...

day one ... day and night
day two .... separated the waters
day three.... the dry ground and the seas/lakes/rivers
day four...... sun, stars and moon
day five........ fish of the waters, and birds of the air
day six........... animals of the land , and man & woman
day seven........ he rested. ..
and we can find this all recorded in Genesis chapter one of the Holy Bible.

and this week Friday night you will learn about WHY you were created.. ?????
